Planning for performance - how to make the best of shutdowns and turnarounds

In the energy industry, shutdowns, turnarounds and outages - collectively known as STOs - are unavoidable, like death and taxes. And any STO event inevitably presents the operator with a double whammy - the cost of the event itself, plus the loss of revenue while production is on hold.
