i-connect - The detail
The benefits
The benefits of shared data are all too obvious. The planning tool can receive resource availability from the HR system. The job card system can provide progress statistics to the planning tool and expenditure to the financial system. The financial application can receive real time information on all works completed, in progress or planned and procurement information both current and planned. The billing system can receive up to the minute information on all expenditure across the business and thus invoice accurately and quickly. By having systems that are integrated, information becomes accurate, current and visible. Different systems work together, not in isolation from each other.
Interface
i-connect is a versatile tool that allows a variety of different systems to be interfaced together. Advanced mapping techniques are deployed via an easy to navigate user-friendly application that allows the end user to select which areas and sections within the chosen applications they wish to interface. These selections can then be saved away to be used when required. Multiple selections (different filters, groupings, fields etc.) can be configured for each interface. The interface can be bi-directional or uni-directional.
Customisable
i-connect can be deployed as a stand-alone application on the desktop or over a network. It can be configured to interface with almost any system including custom built bespoke applications. i-connect can be supplied with screens that resemble the source system i.e. for a SAP to Primavera interface i-connect can be supplied to look like either SAP or Primavera should the client wish.
i-connect has been deployed in many configurations, some of the more popular being:
- SAP <> Primavera
- SAP <> Maximo
- Microsoft project <>Maximo
- Bespoke (company built software)<>MSP
